Mental illness among the homeless is a problem. Maybe “poor farms” where these folks can live and work and have some security. Some folks just don’t fit into our society. The cost of housing is very high everywhere and especially so in places such as the San Francisco Bay Area. No easy answers but there are methods that can be tried. Also time to consider forced housing for the violent mentally ill.
